6 skinless,boneless chicken breasts(chopped)
1 onion(finely chopped)
garlic(to taste)
1 ginger root (grated)
chilli powder(1 tsp)
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
2 medium tomatoes (chopped)
1/2 of garam masala
2 tbs groundnut oil
1/2 tsp of sugar
Salt or maggie to taste
METHOD;
Blend ginger, garlic and onion . Then heat the oil in a pan. When it’s hot, add the sugar.
As soon as the sugar caramelizes add the blended onion,ginger n garlic mixture and cook it on high heat. Stir so it doesn't stick to the pan.
When it changes colour, add the turmeric and chilli . Fry for 5-6 mins and add the tomatoes. Stir for another 5 mins and then reduce the heat and simmer. When the mixture starts giving out some oil. Add some water if it starts sticking.
After 5 minutes, add the chicken. Turn the heat up and cook, stirring the chicken vigorously to mix in the masalas. After 5 mins, add a little water to cover the chicken, lower the heat and stir every 2mins until its cooked.
When the chicken is cooked, stir in the garam masala and salt maggie to taste.
